Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani has rejected the US-proposed ceasefire deal in Gaza. He also warned Israel against launching an all-out war against Lebanon.
It is his first official visit to Beirut since the death of his predecessor Hossein Amir Abdullahian last month, Al Jazeera reported.
Iran's Acting Foreign Minister said that Israel will be in crisis if it starts an all-out war against Hezbollah in Lebanon. He described Lebanon as a 'twin of resistance'.
Bagheri Kani told a press conference at the Iranian embassy that if the Americans are honest, they must take action instead of proposing plans in the name of a ceasefire. And that is to stop all aid to Israel. Only once the aid stops will Israel no longer have the tools and power to commit crimes against the Palestinians and the war will end.
Note that US President Joe Biden proposed a three-phase ceasefire in Gaza last week. According to the proposal, humanitarian aid will be increased in the Gaza Strip. In addition, Hamas will release some hostages during the ceasefire. In return, Palestinians held in Israeli prisons will be released.
